October Kit with Scraptique Boutique!

A fun 2 page layout using supplies from the October kit and the Add-on kit! These kits are fabulous and are great for all kinds of photos! From parties, fall festivals, and halloween parties! Even great for all those dress - up photos!

And here is a great tip: If you want to get more photos on a layout (for instance this layout alone has 16 photos!!) then print a few wallet size! I used my litle ...4x6 photo printer and printed 12 of the photos a 2 x 2 3/4 size. This allowed me to get ALL of my favorite photos from the event on ONE layout! This may seem like a lot of photos on one layout but from looking at the layout you can see there is still plenty of room for journaling and fun embellishments! I challenge you to do the same! Print out some wallet size photos and get more on the page!

September Scraptique Boutique kit! Layouts and some tips!

I absolutely love this kit! The colors are FAB and coordinate so well with ANY theme you may be working with! I have a tutorial for a mini-album in the next post so be sure to check that out! Click here to get there faster!

This first layout is an outdoor theme! Kids smiling after a ride on the ATV. And of course the sticker quote works awesome on this layout with these photos! (the one about the nuts! LOL!!)

Now on the bottom you'll see the wood pieces that came in the kit! I wasn't sure what to do with these at first, but by combining them into one swirly and putting a flower over the center to hide the wierd way they connected it created a fun addition to my layout. Add some stickles to finish it off and voila!

On the side here I had a blank spot that was really bugging me and the word strips on the large sticker sheet that came in the kit really filled the space perfectly! This is a great way to fill space without cluttering it up and to help TELL the story!

This layout is a family themed layout. I LOVE how it turned out!

A few up-close photos. The teeny tiny letters are a great way to add a sub-title to your layout and some extra journaling. I used them here on this layout to add our names. The stick pins are fun! I loved the hearts with the pearls and wanted them on here and so I added one behind the journaling at the top and then one to the side of the photos. I liked how the pin showed! I just added some 3-in-1 glue to the back of the heart and it stuck where I wanted it. The long journaling sticker strip on the sticker sheet was a great way to divide the photos, add some interest, and some extra journaling!

Mini-Album Tutorial using the September Scraptique Boutique kit!

So the September Scraptique Boutique kit is awesome! I LOVE the Jillibean Soup papers! The whole kit just coordinated very well which made this whole project EASY and QUICK to put together! To see the complete Scraptique Boutique kit go here or here!

Here is what we'll be making:

Now creating this is SOOO simple:
1. - 1 piece of 12’ x 12” cardstock, score in one direction at 3-3/4” and 4” and again at 8” and 8-1/4”. Rotate and score at 4” and 8”

2. - Cut off the 4 outside corner pieces and save the cardstock for matting photos

3. - On the side that does not have the extra scores, cut off about 1/8” from the top so it folds easily without getting crushed and cut off 2-1/4” from the opposite side on just the center piece leaving it 1-3/4” long.

4. - And then fold in on all the score lines

These photos show you what you should have at this point:

I then rounded all the corners with my Corner Chomper. (on the 1/2" side) You could leave the corners straight if you wanted to but I think rounded corners just look better!

Now for the details:
I'll tell ya what I did here and then after you can see all the photos of the book so you can see it!

1. You can now add papers to the book! What you add is up to you.
- All papers EXCEPT for the MIDDLE piece are 3 1/2 x 3 3/4. The middle piece is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4

2. You'll notice I added a "book" piece to both of the side panels. To create this
- Cut a piece of cardstock at 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 and then score at: 3, and 3 1/4
- When adding to the panel simply add a strip of glue down the part between the score lines and add! You can then
add your details to it. OR you can scrap it up and then add to the panel!

3. The book is closed using a
*3x1 3/4 strip of cardstock and a strip of 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 piece of patterned paper
*Glue it to the BACK of the book so it can wrap around to the front to close
* I added one of the flowers from the kit to the end of the strip and put a magnet to the back of it and a magnet to the front of the book to keep it closed. You could also use VELCRO instead of a magnet.

Tutorial: Mini-Album using a 2 pocket folder!

Good Morning Everyone! Today I"m going to share with you a TUTORIAL! This project was created for CLUB RUBY DESIGNS using the CLUB RUBY AUGUST KIT! I am a member of their design team and create fun projects tutorials each month that are posted on the website for Club Ruby Advantage members! This month we were given the ok to post one of these projects on our blog so here we are!

This project is one that can be created using MANY different themes. I've made ones for Christmas list shopping (used it to store photos of doing that and receipts and christmas lists and much more), I've made Travel themed ones, baby ones, etc..... and since they are so CHEAP to make and super simple you can make them for gifts and such super quick!

Here is what we are making today. It's a family themed one:

Here is how to make it:

Prepare Your Folder/Album:

I used a Two Pocket Folder. These are paper ones. Not plasticky and they do not have prongs.

1. Fold your folder in half and then in half again. I used a bone folder to make sure my creases were set and it was good and folded.

Adding Papers to the Album:

For the inside of the album:

the dimensions of the papers are:

* for the 4 long panels: 7 1/2 x 4 1/4 (you can see in the 2nd photo here that the paper does not go all the way down the pockets. This is to save paper and because you can't see down there anyway! LOL!)
* For the front of each pocket: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 (back layer) and 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 for the front layer.
* Ink each piece before adhering to the folder.

For the outside of the Album

the dimensions of the papers are:

*4 1/4 x 11 1/2
When adding paper keep in mind the paper on the FAR LEFT is going to be your COVER! (in this case the dark paper with the orange, blue, and red flowers)

*Ink each piece before adding to the folder.

This is going to go on the panel that will be the BACK of the album. (in this case the one of the FAR LEFT - orange paper with white swirly flowers)

1. For this Cascade "album" you'll need to cut various papers from the kit (cardstock and patterns) in the following dimensions:

4 x 11
4x 10.5
4x 10
4x 9.5
4 x 9
4 x 8.5
4 x 8
4 x 7.5
4 x 7
4 x 6.5

2. You'll then want to punch holes in the top of this panel. ONLY through this panel. NOT through all 4.

3. You'll also want to punch holes in the TOP of the cascade album

4. Before you go to the next step - if you like to ink your papers then do so now

5. Once you have your holes punched - use a piece of ribbon from the kit and tie it on the album! Double knot it and make sure it's tight!

Now let's embellish the album!

** Panel 1 (all the way on the right) has the cascade album behind it so you'll see the ribbon you tied through. I glued a button to the inside of one of the flowers on the patterned paper. For this pocket I used pieces from the die-cut sheet that came in the August kit and a piece of ribbon I cut off from the cascade album tie.

** Panel 2 - For this panel I left it alone. For the pocket I added a bird on a banner! This is from the Birthday Bash Cartridge. **Panel 3 - For this panel I used a star stamp and stamped a row of stars at the top. For the pocket I adhered an owl I cut using the Paper Layerz paper. -->This panel (on Panel THREE still) - I created a pull out "album" to go in the owl embellished pocket. Here are 3 photos that show this pull out album:

To do this:
Cut a piece of cardstock 8 x 10/5 and fold in half
For the front of this cut 3 photo mats 3.5 x 3
I stamped a sentiment on the top and then used the white pen in the August kit to outline it all

The inside of this pull out "album":
On the left side: orange piece is 3.5 x 3 1/8; Brown polka dotted stripe piece is 3.5 x 3/4; and the flower piece is 3.5 x 6
On the right side: the light blue cardstock piece is: 3 3/4 x 8 1/4
Add 3 flowers to the bottom of the right side. Adhering a button to the center of each one. Add a small bird to the bottom of the light blue piece. (from the die-cut sheet in the August kit) Stamp a small sentiment under the cardstock sheet and using the white pen draw on some white dots

For the back of this pull out "album:

Cut a piece of patterned paper 3 3/4 x 10. Ink then add to the "album"
Glue a 4" strip of ribbon to the middle of the patterned paper
I then added a few flowers, a button, and some leaf pieces from the august kit to embellish it up.
Slip this piece into the Mini-Album

Now back to the MAIN album:

4. For the last panel inside the album - I left this piece alone and added a sun from the die-cut sheet in the August kit to the pocket piece and a large orange button from the embellishment bag in the kit to the center of the sun.

THE INSIDE of the MINI-ALBUM is now DONE!

Moving on to the Back Side of the Album!

1. The first panel that we'll work on is going to be our cover! In the first photo here it's the panel all the way on the left!

Add a title to the top of this panel using thickers or other letters that you may have! Use a dymo labeler to help with your title!

Add buttons to the inside of the flowers on the papers and add a few paper flowers. I also added a small bird from the Die-Cut Sheet.

2. For the panel that is next to the cover I added a 3.5 x 3x5 piece of cardstock. On this piece I added a 3 1/4 x 1/2 piece of patterned paper, a dymo labeled word and a tree from the die cut sheet in the kit.

3. For this panel that is next to the "cascade album" panel - I cut 2 pieces of cardstock 3 3/4 x 3 1/2 for the top one and 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 for the bottom one. I added a bird from the diecut sheet in the kit and 2 buttons.

4. Embellishing the "cascade album:

To help keep the cascade album secure I added a binder clip to the side. I tied a ribbon on top of it (secured with hot glue) and then added 3 buttons to the this side and a dymo labeled word to the other side. I then added a journaled piece to the shortest piece of the album and added a dymo labeled word to one of the pieces of the album.

5. Now for the tie that keeps it all closed

The panel that has the "cascade album" on it is where we attach the ribbon. This piece of ribbon is about 28" long. Lift up the Cascade Album and glue it down all the way across. Make sure it's down good! I used hot glue for this task. (you'll also notice that I glued down the longest sheet of the cascade album to the orange and white patterned paper piece. THis helps add stability to it.
Then you can close the album and tie the ribbon across the front cover panel!

So I got my Scraptique Boutique (a local scrapbook kit business) July kit yesterday and got to work! These pages came together fairly quickly! THis kit is well coordinated! You'll love it! TO see the July kit in full go here.

So first off:

Here are a few closeups of the trees. I used the Kaisercraft paper flowers in the kit and the 2 tree pieces from the cardboard bits from Jillibean Soup to create the tree elements! Add some stickles to finish them off and Voila!

I really liked the sheet of paper that has all the journaling blocks on it! And of course the 2 large sticker sheets are full of possibilities!

I really liked the package of cardboard bits from Jillibean Soup. They are so much fun! I didn't have a use for the trees so I cut off the trunks and used the top of the trees for flowers behind the large blue flower. Love how it looks! The bread tabs are fun additions to any layout and I like how they hang! These are my parents! They are so stinkin' cute!

A Card and stuff!

Good Afternoon! Okay so I have to start by saying I AM THRILLED that the sun is finally shining here in Alaska! Seems like Spring is FINALLY here! About time! I was about to go nuts!! LOL!

Created this card a few days ago based on the Sketch Challenge on the Club Ruby blog from April 5th.

Really like how it turned out! And last night I found out that I was chosen to be on the Club Ruby Design Team for their kit club! So excited about that! Hopefully I'll be on top of things and get this blog going! But as of now I totally get the Worst blogger ever award since I can't seem to keep it going! LOL!! But I have the desire. And baby is getting older so he's able to keep himself entertained a bit longer! So that's good!

Based on using your Cricut Cartridges!

Using your Die Cut Machine for fun titles

So I'm sure most of us have a diecut machine just sitting there collecting dust. It's time to dust that puppy off and use it on your next layout! I went to a crop this weekend and I was determined to use my Cricut on every layout I used! And I did! I used it for all of my titles! I really enjoyed the process! Here are a few fun ways to make titles using your diecut machine!

For this layout I cut out my title "eleven" using the Sesame Street Font Cartridge - using fab papers from the March Trio! I then put just a bit of glue on the back making it "removable". I placed it on my layout where I wanted it, and then using a white pen I colored around it. I then removed the title from the layout and added some pop-dots and Voila! a fun 3dimensional title! It was quick and super simple to complete.

For the title "The Perfect Pair" I used the Cricut Cartridge "Sweethearts". I cut it out and then using my white pen decorated it up! Then using pop-dots once again I added it to my layout. Cutting a gap in my chipboard border to make room for it. Love how it turned out!

For the title "It's a height thing" - I just wanted to point out that you can use your shapes as a base for your title - this oval is from the "George and Basic Shapes" Cricut Cartridge. I used thickers from the Trio kit and an arrow cut from the "Graphically Speaking" cartridge to create my title art.

4 boys and a fresh start!!

You know when it's been a while since you write in your diary and you feel the need sometimes to explain to yourself in this diary why it's been so long since you've written? LOL! I totally feel like that right now! But you know it always feels so silly even when I write it in a diary! So we'll make a long story short and just say I've had another kiddo and life just took over!!! So we have another little boy in our home! And it's been a blast! He is the sweetest little thing. ANd it's nice to see that my other 3 boys are totally accepting of him!! Here are my boys:

So my fresh start is that I'm going to start anew with this blog and totally run with it! I've always wanted to but never really made it a priority. I've got it penciled in on my calendar and everything! (GO ME!!) So we'll see if I can stick with it! I'm totally excited about all the AMAZING design teams I'm on and want to share their designs here. So without any further ado let's get started shall we???

I'm on 3 amazing digital design teams at SWEET SHOPPE DESIGNS. Totally LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the gals there!!! I design for Julie Billinglsey, Eva Kipler, and Darcy Baldwin! OKAY - WOW. So June ended up being a ROLLER COASTER of a month. Totally a bad month all around. So needless to say I've not been in the mood to blog. BUT things are looking up. July looks to be a good month. So far so good anyway! I am now almost 6 weeks away from a new little one! GETTING so excited about that! Kids are doing well. Tanner turned 6 July 1st. WOW - where has the time gone? can't believe he's 6 already! Derrik is almost taller than me now at age 10 and Hayden my 8 year old is soon to be 9 and is the smartest thing ever! I still can't beat him at chess! LOL! I guess I need to practice more!

So lots happening! I made the design team for JULIE BILLINGSLEY! I AM SO stoked about this! She sells her AWESOME digital designs at THE Sweet Shoppe. I am just thrilled to be on her team!!!

So a new template will not be posted until Next week. Been a bit busy and tomorrow we have CUb Scout Top Seller Day so we will be there. A lot going on this past week and it just did not happen last week.

BUT did want to pop on and say that I'll have a new one next week!! We're full swing in summer mode here! Got a pedicure today and that was my first one ever!! I am for sure doing that again! It was awesome!!! Don't know why I've never done that before!

WOW - has this school year just FLOWN by! The kids are so excited about their last day of school. Me too - I get to sleep in!!! Now to figure out how to spend the summer. We have a few ideas so we'll see how it goes! Just gonna take it one day at a time and not get too over scheduled. 25 weeks pregnant now. That too is going fast! Spent the day yesterday getting baby's area ready. Went through some clothes a friend gave me and now I'm even more excited! Baby clothes are so much fun to look through!!

Going to be spending this Thursday working at THE SCRAPTIQUE - my local scrapbook store. It is up for sale and if it doesn't sell will close end of June. So sad about that. It's the last scrapbook store out here in the valley. UGH. Hopefully it sells!!! (posting this late Wednesday night in case I forget tomorrow! Busy day!)

Another Template Thursday!!

I can't believe there is only 1 more week of school left here! Next Thursday is the kiddos last day. WOW. Has time flown by! Just got back from the lap swim at the pool! Was a great workout. Figured out today how many times I have to go back and forth to equal a mile! 32 times! (and that is back and forth equals 1 ) So really 64 times if you think about it! WOW. That's a long time. BUT I did a mile and a half today! Feeling really good about that! =)

So here is today's template! Not sure if there really is anyone out there in this vast internet world really reading my blog or downloading etc... so i'd really appreciate a few comments! Otherwise I feel like I'm talking to myself. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with how consistent I'm being here! =) I don't think I've missed a Thursday since I started and that's saying something for me! HAHA!

Happy Thursday!!!! Another week has just FLOWN by!! This week I'm down and out with some kind of head cold or sinus something or other. Seems to be better today but still. YUCK!!! Time for another Template Thursday!!!

Well this week seemed to just FLY by!! had a doctors appointment today and baby looks and sounds good and all is progressing nicely!! The 31st of August seems so far away but at this rate I know it will be here before I know it! We went to the movies Tuesday night and saw How to Train Your Dragon in 3D! That was so much fun! LOVED it and the kids were totally hooked from the first 3D preview! They hardly moved an inch! We are going to have to get that one for sure when it comes out!!

So here is this weeks Template:

The difference with this template is that it's based on a paper layout that I did a year or two ago. Was looking through a few old layouts and decided to make digi templates based off some of my paper layouts! So the result is some fun templates!! =)

So my good news for the week is that we found out yesterday we are having a BOY!!! (yes - this makes 4!!) Excited but outnumbered! LOL!!! Mike of course is so excited! He's hoping for a Hockey Team I think! LOL! August 31st is our due date and I'm counting down the days! Can't wait!!

So on the digital scrapping front I'd like to share a layout I did with Sara's new kit called MY HEART!! You can now purchase this kit in her store for $3.00 which is an AMAZING price!!

Every Thursday I will be posting a NEW digital template for you to download! I really enjoy making these and have made quite a few that I haven't shared. So let the sharing commence! You'll notice that I've come up with a NAME for my digital stuff - SCRAPWISE DESIGNS! Actually hubby came up with it and I liked it so I ran with it! GO DH!! And from now on each template will come with a sample layout! I now have a TOU as well and it's included with the new template. So a few changes but wanted to look more "professional" about it so to speak! LOL!!

P.S. I know it's Wednesday - but since tomorrow is a busy day and I didn't want to miss my first Thursday doing this I'm posting it a bit early! =)

Really happy Friday is here! That means that tomorrow I Get to finally sleep in a bit!!! It's sunny outside and even kind of warmish! I've got everything ready for Easter and the kids are playing! So I've been scrappin! Digitally today!!

Now Blogger and I are having communication issues. I want my photos to show up FULLY on my posts and it wants to only show half. I've resized and all that jazz and it's not cooperating with me!! SO you get LARGE photos today! I guess click on the photo to see it fully! I'll get it figured out. It used to never give me this issue! SO annoying!!!!!

The ladies at Scrap that idea have come up with an amazing collab for spring! Called Step into Spring and it is CHOCK FULL of goodies!!! And it's only $4.00 which is amazing since it has so much in it!

Well I've been neglecting my blog something awful lately!! No good! So it's back on the wagon!! Lots has happened since I last blogged! I am pregnant and due in August! I have had HORRIBLE morning sickness! It's been the worst. BUT I am happy to say I am finally over that hump and looking forward to the rest of my sick free pregnancy. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday and hope to find out what I'm having but if not this appointment then for sure the one in the middle of April will tell us! So excited to find out!!

I've rejoined the Digital Scrappy Team at Scrap that Idea! So excited to be working with Stacey and Sara's FABULOUS kits again!!! And I'm going to start creating templates again and sharing them here! So look for new ones! Will come up with some kind of consistent schedule for posting those! I think templates make digi scrappin' a breeze and really enjoy making them!

Also the APRIL KITS have been revealed at 3 Scrappy Boys!! I was so excited to be able to play with the April MAIN kit! SO many fun goodies in it!! I did go to my LSS - The Scraptique here in Wasilla to pick up the coordinating stickers that matched though. Had to have those! I think Bo Bunny has just gotten better and better over the years and this line of theirs totally had me drooling!!! (the line is called Mama-Razzi!)

Here are a few layouts I created with this fabulous kit:

Used my Cricut for this one. Cut the big star out using George and cut the title out using Old West. Definately loving my Gypsy for easy creating on the Cricut!! This layout was a snap to put together!

This one is using the Negative piece from the Star I cut out on the above layout! I love how I was able to get 2 background papers from ONE sheet of paper!! No wasting here! This kit was too good for that!

This layout is part of my MAIN KIT CHALLENGE on the 3SB Message Boards. If you are getting a Main Kit I'd love to see your layout!!

Here is the challenge:
So with your march kit -
Create a layout using at least 2 patterned papers
Use one of the pockets
Use the alpha letters
and use the Black Swirly Felt piece!

1st Gypsy Challenge at THE GYPSY SPOT!!!

If you have a Gypsy and want to get using it then these challenges are for you!!! Here is our FIRST challenge!!! TO see more fabulous projects visit THE GYPSY SPOT on November 2nd!!!!

HERE IS THE CHALLENGE : Create a project using the Gypsy Wanderings or Gypsy Font Cartridge.

I decided to go with a layout! I don't know about you but during the fall/halloween season I take a lot of photos! So that means 2 pager layouts!! I love 2pagers! So much more room for goodies and cuts and photos!! SO I used BOTH Gypsy Wanderings and Gypsy Font for the title on this layout. So here is my layout and below it are instructions for you! (Once I figure out how to take "good" pictures of the Gypsy screen without glare and whatnot I'll add pictures in the future! But for now I hope written ones will do!)

1. Autumn Moments was created using GYPSY WANDERINGS with the PHRASE/SHadow Feature:
*Place AUTUMN on your mat at 2.25 height and 5.88 width
*Then place MOMENTS on your mat at 1.74 height and 6.22 width
*Move moments underneath AUTUMN until it looks how you want it.
*THEN click on the GROUP button, THEN click on AUTUMN. (both of these words should now be BLUE)
*NOW click on the ADVANCED button and hit the WELD button - your grouped phrase should now all be RED
*You can preview it if you'd like or just zoom in to make sure it's how you want it

DON"T CUT JUST YET. Place the AUTUMN MOMENTS at the top of the mat and the FALL FESTIVAL at the bottom of the mat and you can then cut both out at the same time. Just put 2 6x12 pieces of paper on your mat!

2. FALL FESTIVAL was created using Gypsy FONT
*The F on Fall is using the Monogram function at 1.92 height and 2.76 width
*The all is using the regular font at 1.92 height for each one
* I then grouped the ALL together and then moved the group close to the F. Once you have it how you want in then group the F with the ALL
*Now the F on Fesitval is the regular font with SHIFT on at 1.92 height
*The estival is all at 1.92 height with the regular font SHIFT off
*now group the ESTIVAL part together and move it to the F until it looks how you want it and group it with the F.
*Move the FESTIVAL word under the FALL word until it looks how you want it
*Group the two words together and then hit ADVANCED and hit WELD until it's all RED

NOW cut out your words!!! KEEP IN MIND that welded cuts take a while for the GYPSY to think through! At least on mine it does. It has about a minute or two lag before it goes to the screen that lets you hit LOAD PAPER! FOR mine this is normal and it does not mean the GYPSY is frozen so patience!! WHEN you finally get to the GYPSY cut screen to load your paper and hit CUT there is another 1-2 minute lag. Once again your gypsy is thinking. IT will say cutting - nothing is happening yet - but if you give it a few minutes it will start. It just has to think through your "semi-complicated" design! (hopefully the new update will fix this lag!) BUT for now plan on a lag and don't panic!!

Once I cut them out and adhered them to my layout I outlined them with a white pen to make them pop! Added some thickers and small abc letters from My Little Shoebox to finish off the title!!! (most items on my layout are from the www.3scrappyboys.com October Trio kit!) AND to finish off the layout itself I of course had to outline everything with my white paint pen from Elmers and Orange Peel Stickles!!

I am so excited!! Got picked to be on Nilda's Design Team at THE GYPSY SPOT!! A brand new blog that will feature the Cricut Gypsy!! I am so far loving my new toy so this should be a fun adventure!!! AND you may have noticed I'm blogging!! LOL!! It's been a while. I have recently stepped down from my Digital Design Teams but in a few months I may have time to pick them up again!! I'll still be digi scrappin and sharing templates every now and then. But for now I'm focusing on paper crafts and my family!

Got a skin for my Gypsy today!! I am loving the new Citrus/black skin cover!!! Makes the Gypsy look so good!! Thank goodness for COUPONS!!! Had a Joann's coupon I could use at Michaels on it! LOVE 50% off!! (got the coupon in the mail!) Spent the day in Anchorage today at Costco. We fill the shelves in the garage once a year. So hundreds of dollars later we will now be okay if an emergency strikes!!! LOL!! Gotta love buying in bulk! (Cream of Mushroom soup anyone?? HA!!)

Split my nail on a box there and had to buy a HUGE box of bandaids to get just one! LOL!! BUT I thought - a mom of 3 boys should have BULK bandaids so I bought another box!! LOL!! We now have enough bandaids to last a while! Everything is put away and it's leftovers for dinner. SO it's time to sit and play with my new goodies from Joann's and Michaels! (every trip into Anchorage has a stop at these 2 stores!!) Got: Coordenations Cardstock, Armor Etch(pricey stuff! Love coupons!!), small mirrors and little glass jars, 2 12x24 mats, and some glitter stacks!! I have a bunch of paper dolls to cut out for a christmas project!!

Anywho - happy CRAFTING!! And we'll see you at The Gypsy Spot for some fun challenges. So I am hoping to be a BETTER blogger and to keep my family informed of all my goings on!! LOL!! AND in case anyone facebooks add me!! Sara Drake Wise is my name there! =)

Time for a new TEMPLATE (#6) and some pics!!!

Okay so I've been super sick and I'm finally getting to my BLOG!!! Now before I post the new template I PROMISED my sisters I'd post some recent pics of the kiddos and such!! SO here you go my dear sisters!!! Here are some pictures of us when we went to the Wildlife Conservation Center! This was just Friday so it's VERY recent!! LOL!! We took all my Cub Scouts so there are pics of them too!

A few pics down you'll see Tanner's head. MAN these mosquitos here just eat him alive and he swells up bad!!! They were thick at the Wildlife Center and Tanner barely made it out of there alive! LOL!! Poor KID!!

The Wildlife Center was so cool. They gave our cub scouts a tour of the center and gave them each a cool set of binoculars which they were all THRILLED with! We then did a service project. They asked us to weed the vegetable garden. I was so proud of all the boys. They filled up 3 large buckets of weeds in an hour! They did so good! This was a successful trip and I am so glad we all got to go! They all earned a few belt loops and pins and I am excited about that!!

If you didn't know it already Scrap that Idea has a BLOG!!! Today there is a fun challenge posted by Cheryl! Just follow her recipe:

2 papers
4 ribbons
1 frame
1 bracket
2 bling
1 photo

Start with 2 papers and layer as you wish. Scatter or bunch the 4 ribbons and 2 bling. Add a frame to the photo and garnish with a bracket. Add additional embellishments to your taste. You must use at least 80% of Scrap That Idea products (any designer). Post your layout HERE in Cheryl's Recipe Challenge Gallery.

Here is my example for you:

Another boy - SCRAPPY Goodness - and A FREEBIE!!

So in my family there are SIX girls and one boy - my poor father didn't get his boy until 6 years ago!!! I have 3 boys and one sister has 2 boys and one sister has 1 boy AND she just found out she is going to have ANOTHER BOY! So my parents will be the grandparents of SEVEN BOYS! WOW!!!! One of these days one of us will break the trend and have a GIRL but for now BOYS RULE in our family!! LOL! They now officially outnumber our original Six pack of girls!!! And when you add in all the brothers in law we are now the MINORITY in the family!! LOL!! Totally different but it is a BLAST! BOYS are so much fun!!!!

NOW onto the SCRAPPINESS!!!!!!

Okay so PAPER first!! LOL!! As you know I design for 3ScrappyBoys. I just love my paper kits!!!! And Heather has the best ones!! Here is a layout I did using February's kit! Yes it was a while ago but I have some scraps left! This kit was just perfect for a few wedding photos I printed out! I also used my CRICUT for this one! Gotta love it!! The large black scalloped paper was cut using the Mini-Monograms cartridge!

NOW there is LOTS to share in the digi world! Sara, Mel, Stacey, and Vicki have been SUPER busy at Scrap That Idea! So many great kits!!!! Here are some layouts I have created using their kits!! Some of these kits are in the store and some are freebies found on their blogs!!

First up is a kit called Suede from Mel! I always find the girly kits hard to work with but this one just came together so beautifully! I think this is one of my favorite layouts to date!

Next Mel put together a kit called Bath Time! Perfect for all your fun bath pictures!!! Now I don't have many of those so I went a different route and just did pics of my youngest out in the dirt!!

Sara is up next! She has put together a cute kit called Ladybug! It's adorable!! Granted I have no girls so I am getting really good at using girly stuff on boy pages!! LOL!! Hopefully my boys forgive me when they are older! HA! THis is my oldest being silly with Mr. Potato Head's mustache of all things!

Now onto Stacey! She has 3 fantastic kits out now!! First up is one called 2 Little Bots. It's adorable! You can get this FREE from her blog.

The next 2 kits are called Lil' Prince and Lil' Princess! You can buy these kits together or seperately. Here is a layout from me using each of these kits! I think you'll be able to tell which is which! LOL!

Last but not least is VICKI! She has a few new kits up as well!! The first is called Puppy Love! This kit is adorable!! I really enjoyed putting this layout together!

The next kit is one available on her blog! She has a collab with Nicole called Darling Buds of May! This kit is VERY colorful!! Worked great for some EASTER PICTURES!! AND - TADA - here is where my FREEBIE is! I loved this layout look so much I made a template of it!!! So after reading this REALLY long blog post - whew, it's like my longest ever - you deserve a treat!!!!

HAWAII as well as Butterfly Kisses and Let it ROCK!!!

We are going to Hawaii in EIGHT DAYS!!! I am getting SOOOOOO stinkin excited. I found a bathing suit today that I LOVE and am just happy with! It's in a size I haven't worn in a LONG time! Doing the happy dance!!! WOOOO HOOOO!! Got some flip flops as well. Okay I have always HATED things in between my toes. BUT these flip flops aren't bothering me! And I am 29 and this is the FIRST pair of flip flops I have EVER OWNED for this very reason! LOL!! I'm wearing them around the house right now trying to get used to this strange and IRRITATING feeling! But I know once I'm in Hawaii I'll really like wearing them and will enjoy them so I'm trying to "break" them in so to speak! LOL! I'll have to do a layout about my flip flops! I got 2 pairs by the way. A black and a brown. Gotta match everything right??

OKAY here is another freebie created by me. This also was done like 2 years ago! I happen to really like the 2 stitches in this one! And this is when i figured out how to make washers so there are 2 in here as well as some ribbons and papers! I had created a layout using it but my photoshop closed in the middle of it and I decided to make my layout with it later! (LOL!! Darn photoshop!)

Monday, Monday!

Time to update the old blog!! (hehehe) So bad at this! I have been putting together our school yearbook and I have just sent it off to the printers!! YIPPEE!!! THen I'm going to paste the sheets onto their sheets and send them off to the Yearbook Printing company!! SO Wednesday marks the END of this journey!!! I AM THRILLED!!! It came together really well!!! And I can't wait to see what it is going to look like when it's printed and bound!!! I will take photos for sure!!!

And now that this yearbook is off my back I can SCRAP again!!!! YAHOO!! I have been in yearbook mode for SOOOO stinkin long! It will be fun to just scrap!! We are going to Hawaii March 19th!! I AM soooo looking forward to it! Just thrilled! So until the 19th I really don't have much on my plate and I am going to love it!!!

Okay so I haven't designed digital kits in a while but I'm really getting into digital again. It really is relaxing and I LOVE the results!!! Anyway I designed this Chipboard Alpha like 2 years ago and recently found it again so to speak!!

TEACHING AGAIN!!!!

I am now teaching at SCRAPTIQUE!!!!!!! That is a scrapbook store here in Wasilla, Alaska. Lanita is SUPER nice and the gals there all seem really friendly!

We'll see how my first class goes!! January 30th is my first class!!! Created this book using the Cricut and lots of great Bo Bunny goodness!!!

I am super excited with how it turned out!!!! So my goal is to actually write 3-4 times a week and to have a following! (HA!!) We'll see how that goes! LOL!! But as I am doing more classes and stuff I'll have more to write about scrappy wise!

Look at that Stacie!! I'm blogging!!! (Stacie is my sweet sister who says I don't blog often enough!)

So I am participating in the 365 Project! I really am excited by it! I've been taking my photos and journaling so when my kit arrives I'm all set! I think it will be really neat to have an album full of our everyday life photos! Some of these pictures would not normally be scrapbooked! We have a support group going at www.3scrappyboys.com and this week we're focusing on Daily Routines! I really like this theme. Kinda helps to document what we do daily/weekly etc....

So I got this picture of Derrik yesterday doing his homework. MAN does he have a messy room! I think it's funny that he has a desk but it's so full of stuff that he has to use his lap! I think it's time to dejunk sweetie!!

Here is a recent layout I completed. LOVE this one! This was such a fun trip!

Haven't really gotten that many photos outside recently. It's way too cold for that!! Today is negative sixteen and it's been like this for weeks!! SUPER COLD!!!! I truly hope it warms up soon. The kids really want to go sledding but I think we need a new fresh coat of snow before that happens. The snow we have now is all packed hard and windblown. Brrrrrrrr.

Well according to my sister Stacie it is time for me to update my blog! I am no good at this blogging thing! I have tried and am failing miserably! So I'll try to keep family happy and blog at least once a month!!!

So before I share photos with ya Stacie (HA!) I have to share something else! I was shown instructions on how to "TWILIGHT" a photo! WOW it is so much fun! The only photo I could find with good eyes and such was one of Hayden eating an apple. OKAY I know that Vampires DO NOT eat but it will do for my first attempt! LOL!!

March 2008 already???

So Wow.... I have not blogged in a LONG time! Just been keeping busy and this week the kiddos are home from due to Spring Break so it's been Crazy Busy here. The weather is finally turning towards summer and I can't wait for it to come!!! I guess I don't blog much because I really don't ever feel like I have anything to say! LOL! Even though my dear Husband would tell you this is the opposite here at home!

been Scrapin away and have completed 72 layouts so far this year! Really having fun creativity wise! All of my layouts can be seen at www.3scrappyboys.com. LOVE that website!! I have been working on more sketches to share and will be doing so in the next month. Just wanted to update my blog a wee bit and perhaps I'll try to write more often on here!

REALLY excited to finally be able to say the Scrapbasket where I teach at here in Wasilla, AK is moving to a new location. She announced it today in an e-mail and it's going to be a good move! I hope all goes well and am looking forward to teaching there. I really enjoy hanging out there and if you haven't stopped by the Scrapbasket lately you are missing out!

Off to play Wii with the kiddos! We just got Mario Party 8 and it is really fun!

Okay so I can't believe I didn't blog about this! I guess I just wrote an e-mail to my mom and thought i blogged!! LOL! So I made the Design Team at 3scrappyboys.com!!! I am THRILLED about this!!! JUST THRILLED!! I love this website and Cindy puts together the most AMAZING kits!!! I get to start doing Design Team things starting in January so this new year is going to be just a blast! Can't wait to start working with this amazing team!!!

The most "wonderful" time of the year?! LOL!!

Well it's me again!! I am such a bad BLOGGER! But I am going to try and do this once a week so we'll see how that goes! HA!

Here at the Wise home we have all been SICK. It's been NO fun and seriously it's hard to get in the Christmas mood when all you want to do is sleep. Derrik and Hayden are finally both feeling 100% better! So that is a happy thing. Mike went back to work today and is taking it easy but still feels cruddy. And I feel like I have been zapped of all my energy! I have none! But today is the best I've felt in almost 2 weeks so that is a happy thing! Tanner still has a bit of a fever but is a lot happier and seems to have a lot more energy! SO fingers crossed we are all happy and healthy by Christmas. Luckily I got all my shopping done at the beginning of December!

We got up our tree and all our decorations and I just love the way our tree looks! It honestly is just glowing. We added a TON of lights to our tree this year. We wrap the center stick of the tree with lights before adding all the branches and so that makes it glow from the inside out! Here is a picture of our tree!

So hopefully I will blog again the day after Christams and share some christmas photos! Hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I have made the team at BITTEN BY THE BUG!!! A fun cricut blog that is hosted by the aweome Regina Easter! THIS BLOG is really awesome! A collection of ideas using the various cricut cartridges that are out there! And I am super excited to be able to be challenged to use my Cricut!!! I have the Cricut Expressions so all of my creations will be made with that. So be sure to stop by and see all of the ideas this team will come up with! I am sure it will inspire you to pull out your cricut as well! I'll also be posting my creations here after each challenge is posted there!

WOW.... it's been a while!

It's almost been a month since I updated my blog! That is horrible! I really wanted to write at least once a week! Oh well... here I am now! So my parents came to visit October 3- October 10th and it was a BLAST!!!!! WE had so much fun!

We packed a lot into those 6 days:

- Derrik turned 8 and we had a family party on Friday the 5th
- We had Derrik's 8th birthday party with friends Saturday
- We watched LDS Conference Saturday and Sunday
- Had Derrik's baptism Sunday evening
- Monday took off to SEWARD, Alaska and had dinner and stayed the night and then woke up and went on the Resurrection Bay Cruise Tour and that was AMAZING!! Such a beautiful day and I got the most AMAZING pictures! I'll have to share a few tomorrow when I go through them all.
- THEN we dropped mom and dad and my brother and sister off at the airport Tuesday night and headed home.

A whirlwind of a trip and I guess I'm still trying to recover and get my house back in order!! HA!! SLOW going but it will get there!

AND today I taught a calendar class at my LSS and it went really well. Part 2 of that class is next week so that will be fun as well!!

GOTTA run but I will update with pictures and new sketches by Tuesday!!!

Fall Photos

Took the boys outside yesterday afternoon for some fall photos. They cooperated as well as can be expected.... so I didn't get a group shot of them that turned out the best but I did get some cute individual shots! I am very happy with them! Here are 3 favorites from each boy!

Here is Derrik! He is going to be 8 in a few weeks. He probably cooperated the best!

Here is Hayden. He just turned 6 early September and is so silly! But I did manage to get a few serious shots of him!

Tanner is the youngest. He is 3 and just full of energy but he held still long enough for some good shots! What a ham!

So with school starting I have totally gotten behind on my blog! The boys are so excited to be in school and truthfully I am too! They were starting to get bored of summer. They tend to need structure towards the end of summer! Hayden started kindergarten and as you can see he was super excited on that first day!

And Derrik is now in 2nd grade. I was in a digi scrappin mood the other day and did a layout for his first day.

Now Tanner is home with just me during the day and he doesn't know what to do with himself! I haven't had to be sole entertainment since Derrik was little so this is new for both of us. We're having a good time but the house is so quiet! The first day back to school Tanner was so excited when he saw the bus pull up. "MY BROTHERS'. He yelled as they got off the bus! What a sweetie! Here he is anxiously awaiting their arrival!

I was super excited to go to the fair and see my projects that earned ribbons! I only got a good picture of my bowl! This was made out of old magazines and I was super stoked that it won DIVISION CHAMPION! This bowl is also featured in Creative Techniques Magazine's fall issue!

The kids had a lot of fun at the fair! We rode a lot of rides, ate a lot of fair food, and had a wonderful afternoon! We were lucky that the rain never came and the weather was just beautiful! And I promise that it was not intentional to have them all wear striped shirts! Ha! It just kind of worked out that way. =)

Well that is good for now! I need to update my sketches and I'll do that this weekend. Tomorrow we're having a family gathering for Hayden's 6th birthday. So that should be fun! I can't belive he is 6 already! Happy Weekend!

Had a photo shoot with a very energetic 18 month old on Monday after our trek to Hatchers Pass! This little one is so energetic and overall a hoot! Ended up chasing him all over his yard but managed to take a lot of pictures. After going through all the photos today and editing etc.. I am so happy to have a lot of photos that are keepers despite him running off during each shot!! Wanted to share a few of my favorites from the shoot!

We have lived in Alaska for almost 10 years now and I have never been up to Hatcher's Pass. The remains of the old Indpendence Mine is up there and just beautiful scenery. We went up there on Monday so this post is a few days old but at least I'm posting! Ha! Anyways- it was a gorgeous day to go and it is only about 30 minutes from home. We had the afternoon free after spending the morning cleaning out the garage (yuck)! So we were tired from that but wanted to enjoy the beautiful day by spending it outside doing something!

Katie at ScrapbookPlayground.com challenged us to share our favorite palces to visit on the internet. Well I like to visit a lot but here are a few I've visited in the last week:

Cote' Scrap - a french blog so I can't read most of it but I love to look at the pictures she has posted here. Beautiful stuff!

MuggleNet - LOVE mugglenet! I am such a Harry Potter nerd!

Crockpot Cooking - A huge list of crockpot ideas! Love this site!

Cricut - love all the tips and techniques I'm learning about here. I have the cricut expressions and I am still learning how to use it to it's full potential.

TV Clubhouse - So I am a reality tv show junkie! I go here to get filled in on all the good stuff! Like all the big brother happenings on the 24 hour feeds! Love all the discussions with people who are just as addicted as I am !

Anagram Maker - I always have leftover sticker letters and this site helps me use them all up! Just type in the letters you have left and the site will come up with words you can use.

Andie's Phototips - Love all of Andie's phototips that she shares here. A wealth of information!

I love Photography - a wonderful photography board. Great topics, tips, and more!

Canon Digital Learning Center - I still haven't figured out all the gizmos's and gadgets on my digital rebel so I go here to learn more! Great site.

Sesame Stree Workshop - My 3 year old is highy entertained by playing all the games here! So for me it is a very valuable site!

Crafster - Love this website. So many ideas and think outside the box techniques! Love it, Love it, Love it!

2 new sketches

Poppin in to add the 2 latest sketches. A one pager and a two pager. These were for the 14th. Obviously I'm 2 days late posting them but life happened ya know! Had to go school clothes shopping last night for my 2 oldest and that took a while. They were both so excited it was a mad house! Wal-Mart was a zoo, so many people so I decided to have the boys try their clothes on at home. All of Derrik's fit but Hayden's jeans were all too big. So back to wal-mart before monday to do an exchange. (oh, goodie! LOL!)

I recently have been playing around with Photoshop to create my own sketches. Just dabblin of course but I am happy with them! I am hosting a sketch challenge at ScrapbookPlayground.com so every Tuesday I am going to post a new 1 pager sketch and a new 2 pager sketch. I'll post them here on my blog as well. So here are my sketches so far! Not that many yet but I'll get there!

Enjoying Nature - Thunderbird Falls

Went on a fun hike this morning with the kids and a few friends from church to Thunderbird Falls! A beautiful waterfall and just a great hike overall! The kids had a good time and were easily able to handle the trail. I am so thankful to live in a place where nature is just begging me to go explore! There is so much to see here in Alaska. And I have to admit that I have lived here for almost 10 years and I have never been here! Anywho- here are a few of my favorite shots from today!

Enjoying Nature - Floating the Willow

Monday - August 6th - we packed up the car and the boat and headed to the Willow River! We floated down the river and had a grand time seeing the sights that nature had to offer and we would pull over every now and then to fish and for lunch! The boys had a grand time. We went with our friends the Marshalls and just enjoyed the day! My DH was the "driver" and he did an amazing job keeping us in the middle of the river considering that there were 8 people on the boat and the river water was high because of all the rain. We all were wearing life jackets and rain boots.

I got some hip waders that were on sale but they only had certain sizes. I had to get men's size 8 which were HUGE on me so I looked oh so stylish!

We stopped at a sandbar that had a good fishing hole next to it and Charlie and Mike started reeling in the fish! They were pink salmon and not really worth keeping but the boys had fun helping to reel in the fish! Derrik had one on his line and he got so excited! A little too excited because he jerked the line a bit to fast and the fish got away, but that excitement of actually having a fish on his line stayed with him the rest of the day! Tanner did not want to touch the fish at all! He looked at them from a short distance but that was as far as he would get. Hayden wasn't sure at first but ended up touching the fish as well.

I did not want to touch the fish but held one after Charlie reeled it in and it was so slimy and gross! I have to admit when Mike had me hold his fish by slipping my fingers through the gills and in the mouth I was freaked out! The fish started moving it's mouth and body and so I dropped the fish! Didn't want to hold onto it any longer! LOL!
We had a great time overall and I was so grateful that it didn't rain on us!

I have finished the last Harry Potter Book! It Rocked!!!!! Every last bit of it was awesome! I do think the epilogue could have been a bit longer and more detailed but perhaps she is planning on writing more in the future? Well... a girl can hope! Mike finished the book this morning so I have finally been able to talk to him about it! It was so hard to go 2 days without talking to him about the book. I was about to explode! I will wait a bit until I post anything here spoilerish wise in case there are those of you who haven't read it yet... if you haven't read it Do So!! It is great!

Well I'm off to bed! I am going to scrap, scrap, scrap tomorrow. I haven't scraped in a few days and I am itching to do so! I'll definately share my creations here! Have a good one!

Soccer Tonight!

So the boys have soccer practice tonight! Kind of a whirlwind because Derrik has practice from 6-7pm and Hayden's practice is from 7-7:45pm. And of course Hayden's practice is 20 minutes away. So Mike and I have to coordinate scehdules Tuesday evenings so both boys can go to practice! Needless to say we are both tired at the end of the day. Tuesday is also PLAYDATE day. We get together with 20 or so other kids from church and the kids play for a few hours. It is a lot of fun. The kids sleep pretty hard on Tuesdays! LOL! I love taking photos at soccer practice! The kiddos are so cute!

Derrik wanted to check out the lake behind his soccer field after his practice last week.

During practices Tanner just runs around the field in his own little world! At Hayden's practice there is a playset so he can keep himself entertained. He wants to play soccer so bad but has to wait until next year when he will be old enough. Here he is yelling at me to take his picture! LOL!! (and the mosquitos LOVE him so that is what the ouchies all over his forehead are. He picks at them so it takes forever for them to heal!)

So we're off to playgroup and then soccer this evening. BUSY day!

A fun Class Yesterday!

Taught a fun group of girls at my LSS yesterday! It was a birthday party and the girls made mini-albums out of flip-flops! They followed the sample I had made but they had free reign on which stamps they wanted to use, colors of flowers and inks. They got really creative! I was very impressed with their creativity! This group of cute 13 year olds are well on their way to becomming scrapbookers!

15 things I love right now

Katie has challenged us to write about 15 things we love right now. This took some thinking since this list changes frequently. But for now here are my top 15! (sorry for the novel! LOL!)

Number 1: This is definately my family! I am very close to my family and when we were home at Christmas we had a family picture taken. (all 18 of us!) My immediate family is at the right of the photo. (me, my DH, and my 3 boys)

Number 2: My Scraproom! I try to scrap in here at least once a day. In a housefull of boys this is my "girly" area that is all mine! I definately love this area. It is central to the downstairs area so I can scrap yet still be aware of what is happening around me!

Number 3: Alaska and the Great Outdoors! There is so much to see here. The scenery is AMAZING! We could camp every weekend and still not be able to see it all! I definately love ALASKA in the summer! Green everywhere and just beautiful!

Number 4: Harry Potter! Okay it's a silly pick I know but I am loving all the HP stuff going on right now!!! Just finished watching Movie 5 and loved it! My DH came home with the Harry Potter 5 Wii game and I have been playing that with my boys and it is a blast!! And this Saturday Harry Potter BOOK SEVEN is coming out!!! Very excited but also sad because it's the last book in the series. Can't wait to find out what happens. I will probably hibernate for a few days and read away!

Number 5: My Camera. I LOVE my Canon Digital Rebel. Love it! I have been learning so much more about it and have been getting better photos! I got a few attatchments for it and am just excited to play and learn!!!!

Number 6: My new car! Have had it a few weeks and it drives like a dream!! Love the gas mileage it gets.

Number 7: My Crocs! I have a pair of orange colored cros and I LOVE THEM! They are so comfortable!

Number 8: Have to throw my 2 favorite movies in here! "The Count of Monte Cristo" and a "Knights Tale". LOVE these movies! So I guess Number 8 would have to be my movie time!

Number 9: To go along with Number 8 I have a few TV shows I can't seem to live without! LOL!! RIght now I am watching - "So you think you can Dance" , "Big Brother 8" , "Hell's Kitchen", and "Pirate Master". Okay so that is more than a few but I enjoy watching them all!! I'm addicted to reality TV. I do only watch these shows during the day while I'm folding laundry or doing something else productive. Since I got my DVR I haven't watched TV in "live" mode in a while. I love that I can forward through all the commercials and record what I want so I don't miss my shows!! LOL! So in short Number 9 is all about my DVR!! (aka TiVO)

Number 10: Teaching! I love teaching at the Scrapbasket! (my Lss!) Teaching is so rewarding and I love meeting new people and helping others to preserve their memories! Here is my latest class. (teaching this in August!)

Number 11: Right now I love my CLEAN KITCHEN! (Thanks Val!!) Normally my kitchen is a mess. And for a FULL week now my kitchen has been SPOTLESS!!! I have a good kitchen routine going now and it is making me so happy! It is so fun to walk into the kitchen to make dinner and not have to do the dishes first or scrub the pot I need. It's great!

Number 12: My silly boys! I know I mentioned family earlier but I have to mention my boys again! They are so funny! Here is a fun picture of Tanner from his birthday party! He is such a hoot! And I have to post a layout of all three of them just CRAZY!

Number 13: I truly love my house! Love each and every room and pray that I can keep it clean and keep it a place my kids and husband can enjoy being! I love my yard and our little piece of woods!

Number 14: Orange/Vanilla Ice Cream Cones from Little Miller's! LOVE this ice cream cone flavor!! It is So yummy!!! I take the boys for a treat here at least once a week! YUM!!!

Number 15: SUMMER!! Love being outside! Love not having to wear a coat!! LOVE wearing sandals and shorts!!! LOVE the beauty the summer brings!! (on the flip side I am not fond of the winter at all!! Having grown up in Arizona and New Mexico, Alaska is really a change for me but in the summer I truly enjoy being here!

That was a bit harder to do than I thought it would be!! I am sure next week my 15 will change a bit but for now that's me at the moment!! Thanks for readin!

It's Official

I have finally created a blog! Now to be honest I have created a blog before but NEVER kept up with it! Figures!! LOL!! I hope to be able to keep up with this one! I plan on sharing inspiration, projects, layouts, ideas, daily life, and more here! Even challenges every now and then! I love to scrap and as you can tell by my blog title that's what I do the most! Today is a rainy day so it's a perfect day to scrap! And that is exactly what I plan on doing this evening! I am going to go scrap with my good friend Azur'de at the Scrapbasket. Now to go figure out what I am taking tonight! Hopefully I'll be able to pack it all up in a few hours. I have a few ideas in mind!

Anyways- I would love to share a project or some kind of inspiration daily! So here is todays inspiration:

This is my youngest son Tanner! He loves books and so I had to scrap his latest book craze. "The Hungry Little Caterpillar"! I absolutely love Ric Rac and I love these fun colors! Scenic Route also happens to be my favorite paper manufacturer so you'll probably see it used alot!

Well I'm off to pack my bags for the crop!
